Vámonos Spanish Center
VSC uses original curriculum to incorporate a balanced mix of culture, grammar, and intrigue in a real-life, immersion setting. In each week of summer camp, students will learn about the country of focus through projects inspired by each culture. They will get to experience a little bit of what it would be like to travel to each of these desirable areas, learning about their music, food, entertainment and more!

Zoom Language Center for Children
Seattle summer camp for children of all ages. Daily summer activities include singing, dancing, dramatic play, arts and crafts projects, cognitive games, cooking and soccer.

The Language Link: Spanish Immersion Summer Camps
Elementary age students absorb language and culture through art, music, dance and fun in The Language Link summer camps! Each camp focuses on one country per week. Countries, artists, music, and dances that will be explored include Spain, South and Central America.‚Äč

All camps run from 9 am to 2 pm, Monday – Friday at Queen Anne Elementary (With the exception of the photography camp which will be held at La Casita Feliz).

The Sponge School
Offers summer immersion camps in several languages for PreK-2. They group children according to age and ability.

Host international students on the weekends in summer or for 1-2 weeks in Fall.

Seattle Languages:
Seattle Languages International offers language classes specifically tailored to teach children of all ages.

The Spanish Language School:
Offer group and private Spanish classes for adults, children and organizations. Also have summer camps.


Concordia Language Villages: Minnesota
At El Lago del Bosque, our Spanish immersion camp, you’ll be immersed in the sights, sounds, tastes and experiences of the Spanish-speaking world.

Bridge Intercultural Travel: Ecuador
Bridge Intercultural Travel offers experiential, intercultural experiences for groups or individuals of all ages wanting to visit Ecuador. The unique programs offer you the opportunity to learn another language through the intensive Spanish classes, to immerse yourself in another culture by living and working side-by-side with the local people through our volunteering projects, guide you in your choice of career through its career orientation workshop, as well as provide you with a comprehensive look at the incredible sites the country has to offer. All of the programs may include any of the following:

  4. Adventure Sports
  5. Career Orientation or Personal Growth Workshops

World School: Various Countries
World School provides well-rounded international education opportunities for high school students through programs focusing on community service, history, environmental awareness and culture. It gives high school students an opportunity to discover, experience, and understand different cultures and environments. They currently offer programs in Northern and Southern Baja, Thailand, India, Guatemala and Australia.

Olé Say: Spain
Olé Say offers internships, study abroad programs and summer camps which are linked to the study of the Spanish language in Spain, but always in combination with a given setting or activity. Olé Say aims to foster a deep familiarity with Spanish culture as it is lived and felt, not just in terms of linguistic competence. Students are housed on the campus of the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. Many of the summer camps are sports based.

Spanish Abroad, Inc.: Various Countries
This company operates and partners with programs and schools in several countries, offering a host of different types of family and teen programs which incorporate Spanish language study and fun. This site is probably the most comprehensive list of offerings, especially for families and teens. The Costa Rica program listed through Spanish Abroad was written up in National Geographic Travel in 2011.

Institute for Spanish Language Studies: Costa Rica
The Family Spanish program in Tamarindo, Costa Rica is geared towards families that want to study Spanish. It’s a great program for several families to attend together. There are other summer camps and programs in other countries as well. A Puesta del Sol family has friends who did the Costa Rica family program last year and had a great experience.

Global Family Travels: Various Countries
Global Family Travels is a Seattle company that offers packaged tours or can customize a tour to fit your family’s needs and interests at a destination of choice. They have done tours to China, India, Nicaragua and Turkey. Expect to expand your family circle when you embark on a Global Family Travels trip!

Summer Camps Barcelona: Spain
They offer 1 to 4 weeks-long program (June through August) in Barcelona, Spain. Summer Camps are designed for boys and girls, juniors and teens, who want to improve their Spanish and/ or practice their favorite sports in a fun, safe and nurturing environment with other youth participants from all over the world.

Lifeworks International: Various Countries
Backed by over 40 years of experience offering educational programs for youth, Lifeworks offers global programs for teens which combine international community service projects with cultural immersion, travel and outdoor adventure.
