Important Information About Curriculum Night, Sept. 17, 2018

Dear McDonald International Families,

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Curriculum Night, which is Wednesday September 26th from 6-8pm (and beginning at 5pm if you have 5th grader going to Islandwood). The schedule for the night can be downloaded by clicking the link to the right. Please take a close look at which sessions are offered at each time slot.

Reminder: Curriculum Night is an adult only event. This year we will be offering childcare for those families who need it. Childcare is being paid for by the PTA and being run by KidsCo (our aftercare program). We have a limited number of spots (45 to be exact) therefore childcare will be offered, “first come, first served” and requires a reservation.  After all spots are filled, I will generate a waitlist. To reserve a spot for childcare, please email me at mhsushner@seattleschools.org with your child’s name and age/grade. We are offering childcare for children ages 3-11. All children must be potty-trained. Childcare will take place in the KidsCo portable. If you reserve a spot for childcare and need to cancel, please do so by Monday September 24th so that we can give your spot to someone else. Anyone who does not show up for childcare after having reserved a spot will be charged a $10 “no show” fee.

Prior to curriculum night, please make sure you have joined your class google groups, signed up for the McDonald PTA newsletter (which is how you will also get the Principal Newsletter, which comes out every other Monday), created an account on "The Source", and created an account on SchoolPay (which is how you will pay your child’s $50 supply fee and all fieldtrips). If you need help with any of these items, please stop by the library during Curriculum Night so that a staff member can help you.

We look forward to seeing you on September 26th.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Goldberg
