Juanjo Pedro Frasquet, 2nd Grade Spanish Immersion

I am from Barcelona, Spain. I was brought up in a bilingual home as both Spanish and Catalan coexist together in my home region. Since childhood I have had a passion for learning languages and early on I took English and German lessons.

I obtained my BA in Tourism Economics at Polytechnic University of Valencia and my Teaching Degree at the University of Barcelona. I enjoy teaching Spanish in a real-use context and recently completed various Content and Language Integrated Learning courses.

Since 2007 I have been teaching in a professional capacity in the Spanish public school system to Catalan and Spanish speaking students of different ages.

In 2016 I moved to the United States with my partner and worked full-time as a Spanish Immersion Teacher in the Bainbridge Island School District.

On a personal level, I am passionate about music and enjoy writing and performing in my free time. Traveling around the world and meeting people from other cultures is another favorite of mine.

I am thrilled to transition next school year to McDonald International School and am looking forward to meeting my new second graders, their families and all school staff members.
