Ann Brooke, 2nd Grade Humanities

I love being a part of McDonald International School! Prior to joining Seattle Public Schools as a librarian, I taught grades K-8 for Highline Public Schools. I especially enjoy working with second grade students as they extend their reading and writing skills and continue to develop their cultural awareness and understanding of our amazing world.

I grew up in the Highline area of South Seattle and received my bachelor’s degree in English and history from Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota, and my master’s degree in art history from the University of Minnesota. After working as an art curator, I decided to move home to Seattle and become a teacher.

I enjoy singing jazz, spending time with my husband and teenage daughter, and traveling internationally. I’m looking forward to another wonderful year as a member of McDonald International’s vibrant learning community.

Ms. Brooke
