Wear Blue for Kindness Day on March 14th

McDonald PTA Board recognizes March 14th, 2018 as "Wear Blue for Kindness Day."

On Wednesday, March 14th, all staff, students, families and community members are invited to wear blue, perform random acts of kindness, look out for those who are lonely, and reach out to make new friends. The color blue was chosen as a color of peace. As you may be aware, many middle school and high school students across the state plan to walk out of classes for 17 minutes at 10:00AM in remembrance of the 17 students who lost their lives in at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

“Wear Blue for Kindness Day” was started by the McAuliffe Elementary PTSA Board of Directors in Sammamish, Washington to recognize the larger day of action in an age-appropriate way that would support elementary children through their lifelong journey of navigating their emotions and relationships and in solidarity with bullying prevention.
